Art

A lifelong artist (1987 JC Penny/Sesame Street coloring contest winner and a Fine Arts major), I didn’t have a regular artistic practice (outside of graphic design) until 2018 when I took up watercolor. That morphed into painting with ink because I prefer the intensity of the colors.

I’ve highlighted some of my favorite projects below. For my most recent works, please check my Instagram.

Cyanotypes

In the summer of 2022, I started sun printing with cyanotype. I fell in love with the blue tones and shadowy shapes. Then, as usual, I needed more color so I started layering ink washes over them.

Inktobers

I learned about the Inktober challenge in 2019 and was immediately inspired. For about 4 days. In 2020 I was more successful and finished the challenge and have done it every year since. Each year I pick one visual theme and challenge myself to think outside the box for the prompts.
